End of May Status Update

Ushabti Online: approx 25k words into the first draft.
C&D2: Approx 6k words into the first draft.
That’s right, I am working on the sequel to The City and the Dungeon right now. It’s just that, due to various logistical constraints I can’t go into, I can only work on it part time with Ushabti Online. Again, I initially planned to just say nothing until something was complete, but I realized that wasn’t quite fair. So here it is.
That all said, I can’t guarantee any particular release date, especially one within this year. Things in my personal life just haven’t agreed.

Matthew P. Schmidt My BlogI have received the finished cover from Streetlight Graphics today. Here it is! Chances are the book won't be available by January, as there's still some revisions to do. February, or more realistically March, is more likely. But stay tuned!
There’s no rush! I’d rather have a good book than a fast book. I hope that your personal life smooths out though, that’s never fun.

Take your time. Friends and family always need to come first, and trying to force yourself to finish a project when you’re distracted doesn’t usually end well. Oh, and don’t make promises about dates because you feel pressured into it. Real fans wait patiently until you’re satisfied with your work.
